“You are what you eat” may sound like a cliché however I cannot impress enough how good nutrition impacts one’s life from a physical, emotional, spiritual and financial standpoint. Learning how to combine foods to get the proper nutrients and energy we need can help reduce stress and fatigue throughout the day and provide us with more energy. Feeling in control of one’s health and reaping the benefits of good nutrition enhances the ability to connect with one’s body, mind and spirit. In addition, just a 10 percent decrease in weight loss can lead to a reduction, if not elimination, of many medications and help avoid costly on-sets of illnesses in the coming years. In order to help one achieve optimal wellness I feel it is important to get know each of my clients as an individual and explore their associations with food. I find what is most important is to build a respectful and trusting mutual relationship so we can work together as a team to meet their individual needs. Once this sense of union is created together we can achieve long term wellness and growth. What I find most rewarding in my job is the shared experience that is exchanged between myself and my client. In doing so, not only do my clients benefit from our time together but I learn from the as well!
